Terms of Service

These terms frame the public website and Gmail extension use before Chrome Web Store release.

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Prelaunch status

The Chrome Web Store listing is coming soon. Features, availability, and support boundaries may change before public release.

User control

Postbird helps with Gmail triage, follow-up reminders, thread context, and clear writing tools. Users remain responsible for reviewing content before sending messages or acting on thread information.

Local, account, and Cloud modes

Current Postbird helpers run in the browser. Identity-only account sign-in is separate from Gmail permission. Free connects the same verified Google identity, keeps one session-only access token, and attempts silent online renewal. Eligible Paid accounts may remember up to five creator-owned Gmail identities, while the browser keeps at most one active access token; a private encrypted refresh credential lets the backend mint a fresh short-lived token without reading Gmail. Active account members may see the full roster and safe rolling counts in trusted Settings, but Gmail reading remains creator-owned and current-thread-only. Sign-out clears local access tokens and blocks minting while signed out; Disconnect erases Paid credential custody. Managed Postbird Cloud and its hosted-output cache remain separately consented and follow the contract described above. Backend Gmail sync and public paid managed-cloud behavior require separate launch review and disclosure.

Support boundaries

Support is available through support@postbird.app for product, privacy, deletion, and security questions. Support sees metadata by default, not Gmail content or cached output. Keep support messages sanitized and avoid raw threads, provider payloads, or cached output.

Future billing and subscriptions

Postbird does not currently sell paid plans on this website. Future billing, subscriptions, quotas, cancellations, refunds, and account terms must be disclosed before paid Cloud or account features launch.

Limitation of liability

Postbird provides assistive tools for Gmail workflows. Users remain responsible for reviewing suggested content, thread context, reminders, and actions before relying on them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Postbird is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages from use of the prelaunch product.

Acceptable use

Postbird should not be used to automate abuse, misrepresent identity, or bypass Gmail, Chrome Web Store, provider, or workspace policies.
